Chocolate Truffles

Chocolate Truffles made from melting dark or milk chocolate with fresh cream, flavored with liqueur, and coated in nuts, cocoa, or coconut provide a rich, creamy confection with a smooth interior and textured exterior. The chilling and rolling process shapes these bite-sized treats into delicate sweets that balance indulgence and elegance, suitable for gifting or serving as a dessert bite.

Description

To prepare these Chocolate Truffles, chocolate and cream are gently melted together in a bowl over simmering water until completely smooth. Once combined, liqueur or flavor essence is folded into the mixture before it is chilled in the refrigerator for one to two hours until firm enough to shape.

After chilling, small spoonfuls of the set ganache are rolled into balls by hand and coated with a chosen ingredient such as toasted nuts, sifted cocoa powder, or shredded coconut, providing varied textures and flavors.

Proper refrigeration keeps the truffles fresh and firm. They store well for up to two weeks in the fridge but should be kept cool to maintain texture. Ideal for serving at celebrations or as a homemade gift, these truffles offer a rich chocolate experience with customizable coatings for added variety.
