Crockpot BBQ Chicken

Crockpot BBQ Chicken is a straightforward slow-cooker recipe combining boneless, skinless chicken breasts or thighs with ranch seasoning and your choice of barbecue sauce. Slow cooking melds the flavors over several hours, and the cooked chicken is shredded and mixed back into the sauce for a tender, saucy result perfect for sandwiches, tacos, or casual meals.

Description

This Crockpot BBQ Chicken recipe starts by layering chicken breasts or thighs in the slow cooker, seasoning them on both sides with ranch dry mix, and pouring a cup of barbecue sauce over the top. The dish cooks on low or high heat for several hours until the meat is fully cooked and tender. After cooking, the chicken is shredded with forks and stirred back into the barbecue sauce, creating a juicy, flavorful pulled chicken.

The method requires minimal preparation and allows for hands-off cooking, making it accessible for busy cooks. The ranch seasoning adds an herbal and slightly tangy flavor layer that complements the smoky sweetness of the BBQ sauce. Because the chicken is shredded, the texture is tender and well coated with sauce, making it versatile for serving in sliders, wraps, or alongside sides like coleslaw.
