Crockpot Butter Chicken Recipe

This Crockpot Butter Chicken recipe features bite-sized chicken pieces slow-cooked in a smooth tomato-based sauce blended with almond butter, coconut sugar, and a flavorful mix of garam masala and warming spices. The creamy finish with whipping cream, yogurt, or coconut milk creates a rich, mildly spiced curry that develops depth during slow cooking.

Description

The Crockpot Butter Chicken Recipe starts with blending canned crushed tomatoes, onion, ginger, garlic, almond butter, coconut sugar, and a range of spices including garam masala, turmeric, coriander, cumin, chili powder, and salt into a smooth sauce. This sauce is poured into a slow cooker where bite-sized chicken breast pieces are added and cooked on high or low until tender and infused with spices. Just before serving, dairy or coconut-based creaminess is stirred in to balance the spices and add a silky texture. The result is a curry with a deep tomato richness, aromatic warmth, and a creamy finish suitable for pairing with basmati rice or flatbreads.
