Durazno con Crema

Durazno con Crema combines tender peach pieces with rich table cream and sugar, creating a smooth, sweet dessert. The mixture can be served chilled for a refreshing finish, with the option to adjust the texture by adding reserved syrup. This simple preparation highlights the creamy sweetness of Nestle Table Cream paired with canned peaches in heavy syrup, producing a balance of fruity and creamy textures.

Description

Durazno con Crema features saturated peach slices or halves diced and combined with a creamy base made from Nestle Table Cream and sugar. The peaches provide a soft, juicy fruit component while the cream adds smooth richness. By optionally blending in some of the syrup reserved from the canned peaches, the texture can be thinned to suit personal preferences. The recipe involves minimal cooking, focusing on assembling and chilling to blend flavors.

The dessert is served cold, making it suitable as a light sweet treat. Its simple ingredients and blending method make it a practical choice for easy preparation with pantry staples. The soft, creamy texture and sweet peach flavor suit both casual and more formal desserts.

Refrigerating the mixture for at least 30 minutes enhances the creaminess and melds the sweetness of the sugar with the fruit and cream. Leftovers should be stored in an airtight container and consumed within 2 days to maintain freshness and flavor.

Ingredients

Servings
  • 1 (32 oz / 2 lb / 907g) peach halves or slices in heavy syrup
  • 2 .6 oz / 225g) Nestle Table Cream but heavy cream can be used as a substitute (though it won’t have the same taste, crema de leche/media crema
  • 3 tablespoons sugar , adjust to taste.

Instructions

  1. Drain the peaches, but save the syrup in case you want to adjust the consistency later. Cut the peaches into small cubes or slices.
  2. In a large bowl, add the chopped peaches, table cream, and sugar. Stir everything together until the mixture is well combined and evenly coated.
  3. If you prefer a more liquid texture, gradually add some of the reserved syrup, adjusting the amount to your preference. You can also skip this step if you prefer a thicker consistency.
  4. For a creamier and more refreshing taste, refrigerate the mixture for at least 30 minutes before serving (optional). Serve as is.
