Easy Baked Gnocchi Recipe
Description
The Easy Baked Gnocchi Recipe brings together ground turkey sautéed with onions and seasoned with garlic powder, basil, oregano, salt, and pepper. Fresh spinach is wilted into the mixture before adding uncooked gnocchi and marinara sauce directly into the skillet. The entire skillet is topped with shredded mozzarella cheese and baked until the cheese is melted and bubbly. The resulting dish has a comforting texture combining soft gnocchi with the savory meat sauce and creamy cheese topping.
Baking the ingredients together in one skillet streamlines the cooking process and ensures the gnocchi cooks through while absorbing flavors from the turkey and sauce. This dish can be served immediately after a brief cooling period and garnished with fresh basil if desired.
The recipe is flexible regarding ground meat choice, allowing substitution with chicken, pork, beef, or Italian sausage. It also accommodates using fresh mozzarella instead of shredded. The dish can be assembled and frozen before baking, later baked from frozen at a lower temperature for an extended time, making it suitable for make-ahead meals.
