Easy Blueberry Mousse
Description
The recipe starts by blooming gelatin in blueberry juice, then blending vanilla Greek yogurt with fresh blueberries and maple syrup until smooth and homogeneous. The warmed gelatin is slowly incorporated into the blended base to ensure even distribution and a tender set.
Divided into small ramekins, the mixture is chilled for two to three hours until set to a soft mousse consistency. It offers a creamy texture with a balance of tart blueberry flavor and natural sweetness, complemented by the gentle tang of yogurt.
The mousse is finished with a garnish of mint leaves and whole blueberries, adding an aromatic and visual contrast. This dessert suits light serving portions and can be prepared ahead for convenience.
Ingredients
- 7 g gelatin unflavored
- ⅓ cup blueberry juice or grape juice
- 2 cups Greek yogurt vanilla flavored, 0%
- 1 cup blueberries
- 3 tbsp maple syrup
- Garnish mint leaves & whole blueberries
Instructions
- Pour the contents of the gelatin sachet and the blueberry juice into a bowl. Let the gelatin bloom for 5 minutes.
- In a blender container, add the yogurt, blueberries, juice, and the maple syrup. Emulsify for 1 minute, or until mixture is homogeneous.
- Heat the gelatin in the microwave for 20 to 30 seconds. With the blender running, slowly pour gelatin mixture into the blueberry and yogurt base.
- Divide the mixture into four small ramekins and chill for 2 to 3 hours. Garnish with the mint leaves and reserved blueberries.
