Epic 15 Minute Honey Garlic Chicken

Chicken thighs coated in cornstarch and seasoning are seared until golden brown, then cooked in a honey garlic sauce made with chicken stock, soy sauce, vinegar, and chili flakes. The method results in a glossy, sticky glaze that balances sweet, savory, and mildly spicy flavors. This quick-cook technique delivers tender, flavorful chicken suitable for serving over rice.

Description

The Epic 15 Minute Honey Garlic Chicken recipe uses boneless, skinless chicken thighs coated in cornstarch with salt and pepper before pan-frying in oil until nicely browned. A separate sauce combines chicken stock, honey, soy sauce, rice vinegar, red chili flakes, and parsley. After cooking the chicken, butter and minced garlic are added and fried briefly to enhance flavor before adding the sauce. The mixture is simmered on medium-low heat, thickening the sauce and cooking the chicken through.

This approach yields a sticky, flavorful coating that balances sweetness from honey with savory soy and a touch of heat from chili flakes. The garlic and butter add richness and aroma. Served alongside rice, the dish makes a satisfying and quick meal.

The recipe notes suggest substituting the chicken thighs with other proteins like breasts, shrimp, beef, or salmon, allowing flexibility based on preference.
