Ingredients

  • ½ baguette, sliced thinly
  • ½ cup fig jam or fig spread *Click the link up above for the recipe
  • 4 oz goat cheese, softened
  • Sea salt and freshly cracked pepper, to taste
  • 3-4 small fresh figs, thinly sliced
  • Balsamic glaze, to taste

Instructions

  1. Make the fig and honey jam, if desired. Click here for the recipe. 
  2. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees. 
  3. Place the sliced baguette on a baking tray then bake for 4-5 minutes, or until lightly golden brown and toasted. Remove from the oven.
  4. Slather some cooled fig jam on each crostini.
  5. If the goat cheese isn't softened, place it in the microwave for 10-15 seconds until it's creamy and spreadable.
  6. Carefully spread the goat cheese over the fig jam, leaving the edges of the fig spread visible.
  7. Sprinkle lightly with sea salt and freshly cracked pepper, to taste.
  8. Place sliced figs on top of each crostini. Drizzle lightly with balsamic glaze. Serve immediately. Enjoy.
