Fig and Goat Cheese Crostini with Balsamic Glaze

Ingredients
- ½ baguette, sliced thinly
- ½ cup fig jam or fig spread *Click the link up above for the recipe
- 4 oz goat cheese, softened
- Sea salt and freshly cracked pepper, to taste
- 3-4 small fresh figs, thinly sliced
- Balsamic glaze, to taste
Instructions
- Make the fig and honey jam, if desired. Click here for the recipe.
- Preheat the oven to 350 degrees.
- Place the sliced baguette on a baking tray then bake for 4-5 minutes, or until lightly golden brown and toasted. Remove from the oven.
- Slather some cooled fig jam on each crostini.
- If the goat cheese isn't softened, place it in the microwave for 10-15 seconds until it's creamy and spreadable.
- Carefully spread the goat cheese over the fig jam, leaving the edges of the fig spread visible.
- Sprinkle lightly with sea salt and freshly cracked pepper, to taste.
- Place sliced figs on top of each crostini. Drizzle lightly with balsamic glaze. Serve immediately. Enjoy.
