French toast

A French toast is a dish made from bread soaked in a mixture of milk and egg then fried, often sprinkled with icing sugar.

  • 12 lices bread or dry brioche, dry
  • 3 egg
  • 1 cup milk
  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • 2 vanilla sugar packets
  • 3 tablespoons butter diced, unsalted
  • powdered sugar

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, beat the eggs and milk, then add the two sugars.
  2. In a hot skillet over medium heat, add the diced butter.
  3. Dip each slice of bread in the egg and milk mixture, and place them in the pan.
  4. Fry for 1 to 2 minutes on each side, until the bread is golden brown.
  5. Serve the French toast immediately, sprinkled with powdered sugar and/or accompanied by jam or berries.
