Ingredients

Servings
  • 1 pound ground beef lean
  • 6 ounces ramen noodles seasoning packets discarded (2 packages)
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • 1 onion chopped, large
  • 1 red bell pepper chopped
  • 1/2 pound broccoli cut into florets
  • 1 cup carrot shredded

For the sauce

  • 1/3 cup soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon brown sugar
  • 2 teaspoons sriracha optional
  • 2 teaspoons garlic minced
  • 1 teaspoon ginger minced
  • 1 tablespoon corn starch
  • 2 tablespoons water

Garnish

  • green onion sliced
  • sesame seeds

Instructions

  1. In a medium saucepan, bring water to a boil. Add ramen noodles and cook until tender, about 2 minutes. Drain the noodles.
  2. To make the sauce, whisk together soy sauce, brown sugar, Sriracha, and garlic, and ginger. Combine the cornstarch and water to make a slurry, then whisk into the sauce.
  3. In a large skillet, cook the ground beef over medium heat, breaking it apart as you go. Once cooked, drain any excess grease and remove from pan and set aside.
  4. Heat the oil in the skillet and then add onions, peppers, carrots and broccoli and cook until tender, about 6-8 minutes. Stir in the cooked ground beef and ramen noodles.
  5. Pour the sauce over the skillet and toss until completely combined, then garnish with green onions and sesame seeds.
