Greek Salad Dressing Recipe
Description
The Greek Salad Dressing Recipe combines minced garlic with lemon juice and zest, Dijon mustard, red wine vinegar, and dried basil and oregano to create a flavorful base. Slow blending in extra virgin olive oil creates a creamy and emulsified dressing with a balanced acidity and mild herb notes. The optional sugar or honey adds a gentle sweetness to round out the tartness from the lemon and vinegar. This dressing’s texture is smooth yet vibrant, making it suitable for drizzling over classic Greek salads or other fresh vegetable salads.
Its mixture of herbaceous, tangy, and slightly sweet flavors freshens up salads and can also be used as a marinade or drizzle over grilled vegetables. Storing it chilled in a jar allows the flavors to meld further, improving with a day or two in the refrigerator.
