Greek Turkey Burgers
Description
Ground turkey is combined with diced onion, crumbled feta cheese, egg, and a binding agent such as ground pork rinds, almond flour, or standard bread crumbs. Dried parsley, oregano, and crushed red pepper add herbaceous and spicy notes that reflect Greek flavor profiles. The mixture is thoroughly combined and shaped into six 5-ounce patties.
The patties cook on a greased grill pan or outdoor grill over medium heat, about 7 minutes per side, allowing them to develop a nicely cooked exterior while retaining juiciness inside. Slightly wetting hands before shaping helps form patties that hold together well. The result is a savory burger that balances lean turkey with feta's saltiness and herbs' pungency.
These burgers can be served on buns or with sides, making a Mediterranean-inspired meal option.
