Green Pizza Recipe
Description
The Green Pizza Recipe starts with a vegetable-based crust which forms the foundation for a vibrant green pesto made by blending basil, parsley, cashews, olive oil, garlic, hemp hearts, lemon juice, and sea salt. This pesto sauce spreads across the crust, leaving a border before toppings are added. Fresh kale, massaged with oil to soften it, along with peas and asparagus, add layers of green vegetables, while mozzarella and goat cheese provide creamy, melted richness.
Baked in the oven until cheese melts and vegetables soften slightly, this pizza balances fresh herbaceous notes with creamy cheeses. The pesto imparts a bright, herb-forward flavor that complements the earthiness of the vegetables and the mild tang of the goat cheese.
This pizza can be served as a main meal or sliced for appetizers. Its distinctive green toppings and nutrient-rich pesto make it ideal for those looking to incorporate more vegetables into pizza without traditional heavy tomato sauce.

- When the pizza crusts have finished baking, remove them from the oven and divide the pesto between the two of them, leaving a 1" rim around the crusts. Add the kale and then top with the peas, asparagus, mozzarella, and goat cheese. Bake in the oven for 10-12 minutes, or until the cheese has melted. Remove from the oven and sprinkle with some hemp hearts.
