Ground beef stroganoff is a delicious and comforting dish that is a variation of the classic beef stroganoff. It's a budget friendly, easy-to-make recipe that includes ground beef, mushrooms, onions, sour cream, and seasonings.

Ingredients
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 1 onion
- 2 cups mushrooms
- 2 garlic cloves
- 1 lb ground beef
- 2 cups beef stock
- 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
- 2 teaspoons Dijon mustard
- 1 cup sour cream
- salt & pepper
- fresh parsley chopped, for garnish (optional)
- Egg Noodles or Rice cooked according to package instructions.
Instructions
Get prepped
- Dice the onion, slice the mushrooms, mince the garlic
Cook
- In a large skillet or frying pan, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the chopped onion and cook until it becomes translucent, about 2-3 minutes.
- Add the ground beef to the skillet and cook, breaking it apart with a spatula, until it's browned and cooked through. Drain any excess fat if necessary.
- Stir in the sliced mushrooms and minced garlic. Continue cooking for another 2-3 minutes until the mushrooms soften.
- Pour in the beef broth, Worcestershire sauce, and Dijon mustard. Stir well to combine all the ingredients.
- Bring the mixture to a simmer, then reduce the heat to low. Let it simmer for about 10 minutes, allowing the flavors to meld together.
- Remove from heat, stir in the sour cream and season with salt and pepper to taste.
