Hawaiian Shave Ice
Description
This dessert is prepared by finely shaving ice cubes using a shave ice machine, resulting in soft, loose snow-like ice. Multiple flavored syrups are poured over the ice to distribute vibrant taste and color. Sweetened red beans add a rich, textured sweetness, while vanilla ice cream offers creaminess. The final drizzle of sweetened condensed milk ties the flavors and textures together with its smooth sweetness.
Hawaiian Shave Ice is enjoyed as a chilled treat, particularly popular in warm weather. The combination of icy coolness with layered toppings offers a refreshing finish. Different flavored syrups can be chosen to suit preference, and the shaved ice texture depends on the machine used.
Using quality syrups and a powerful shave ice machine helps achieve fine ice texture and balanced flavors. Adjust condensed milk quantity for desired sweetness. The inclusion of red beans and ice cream is traditional and provides contrast to the icy base.
Ingredients
- 2 cups ice cubes (11 oz)
- 8 tablespoons colored syrup (2 tablespoons of each colors, I did 4 colors)
- 2 tablespoons red beans sweet
