Healthy Indian Spiced Chicken

Healthy Indian Spiced Chicken combines cubed chicken breast with an aromatic blend of Indian spices, including cumin, garam masala, turmeric, cinnamon, and chili flakes. The chicken simmers in a tomato paste and water base before finishing with Greek yogurt to add creaminess. The dish offers a balanced spicy flavor and moist texture, complemented by garnishes such as cilantro and almonds.

Description

This recipe sautés onion, garlic, and fresh ginger before adding cubed chicken breast pieces. Brown sugar and a mix of Indian spices provide a layered flavor profile with gentle sweetness, warmth, and moderate heat. Tomato paste enriches the sauce with depth and color, while water simmers the chicken until fully cooked.

The final step incorporates Greek yogurt, which softens the spices and adds a creamy consistency without overwhelming fat. Garnishes of fresh cilantro, almonds, and additional yogurt lend freshness, texture, and cooling contrast. The dish pairs well with basmati rice or naan bread to complement the spiced chicken.
