Ingredients

  • 5 tablespoons unsalted butter ghee, or vegan butter
  • ¾ cup hot pepper sauce such as Frank's
  • 1 tablespoon white vinegar
  • ½ teaspoon Worcestershire sauce 
  • ¼ teaspoon cayenne pepper
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper
  • ½ teaspoon garlic powder

Instructions

  1. Melt the butter in a pot or small saucepan.
  2. Once the butter has melted, whisk in the hot sauce, white vinegar, Worcestershire sauce, cayenne pepper, black pepper, and garlic powder.
  3. Mix until combined.

Notes

  • If your butter separates from the hot sauce, then it means it hasn't been mixed well enough. Try mixing your buffalo sauce with a whisk instead of a spoon.
  • To thicken buffalo sauce, create a cornstarch slurry (equal parts cornstarch and water), bring the buffalo sauce to a simmer, then mix in the slurry. 
  • Store the leftovers in an airtight container or jar in the refrigerator for up to one week.
  • Use this buffalo sauce for all of your favorite buffalo needs and desires.
