Homemade Truffles Recipe

For truffles:

  • 1 ½ cup dates pitted
  • ½ cup pecans
  • ½ cup walnuts
  • 1 tablespoon almond flour
  • ½ teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 2 tablespoons dried cherries
  • 2 teaspoon cocoa powder

For garnish:

  • cocoa powder
  • walnuts chopped, or pecans
  • coconut shredded
  • 2 oz dark chocolate
  • 1 teaspoon coconut oil

Instructions

  1. In a bowl of a food processor, combine dates, nuts, almond flour, cinnamon, dry cherries and cocoa powder. Pulse until all the ingredients are minced and form into a ball.
  2. Using your hands, form small truffles and place them on a parchment paper.

For garnish:

  1. Melt the chocolate, add coconut oil and whisk until smooth.
  2. Dip half of the truffles into a hot chocolate and use the fork to carefully transfer them onto a parchment paper. Sprinkle with chopped nuts or shredded coconut.
  3. For the other half of the truffles, simply roll them in cocoa powder and set on a parchment paper.
  4. Chill all truffles until set, about 30 minutes.
