Honey Baked Bananas

Report
Honey Baked Bananas are ripe bananas sliced lengthwise, drizzled with honey, sprinkled with cinnamon, and baked to a soft, caramelized finish. The dessert offers a warm, sweet treat with a gooey texture, enhanced by the natural sugars in the banana and the gentle spice from cinnamon.

Description

This simple recipe requires ripe bananas sliced in half and placed in an ovenproof dish. They are drizzled with honey and dusted lightly with cinnamon before baking at 400°F for about 15 minutes. The heat softens the bananas while allowing the honey to caramelize slightly, adding a sweet glaze. The cinnamon adds a warm aromatic note that complements the bananas’ natural flavor.

The soft, warm bananas can be served on their own or paired with cold elements like ice cream or yogurt for a contrast in temperature and texture. They can also be added atop porridge or oatmeal for a naturally sweet breakfast boost.

Cooking time may vary based on the ripeness and desired softness of the bananas. Baking with the peel on is possible and allows scooping out the softened fruit for a different presentation. Omitting honey reduces calories but also lessens the caramelization and sweetness intensity.
