Honey Garlic Pork Chops Recipe

This Honey Garlic Pork Chops recipe sears boneless chops seasoned with salt and pepper until golden, then simmers them briefly in a sauce made from honey, apple cider vinegar, soy sauce, and garlic. The resulting glaze is sweet, tangy, and savory, coating the pork with a sticky finish.

Description

Starting with boneless pork chops seasoned and oiled, the chops are seared over medium-high heat to develop a golden crust, then flipped and cooked through to an internal temperature of 145 degrees Fahrenheit. Dripping pan juices are retained for added flavor. After removing the chops, the pan is wiped mostly clean before melting butter to sauté minced garlic briefly.

The glaze is formed by adding honey, apple cider vinegar, and soy sauce to the pan and boiling the mixture until it thickens slightly. The pork chops and their juices return to the pan where they are basted with the honey garlic sauce for about two minutes to absorb flavor and finish cooking. This process yields a balanced coating that highlights sweet, acidic, and umami notes.

The dish is served immediately to enjoy the tender meat with a glossy, flavorful sauce. Its approach combines simple ingredients to elevate pork chops with a sticky accompaniment that complements the meat’s texture without overpowering it. This recipe suits a main course paired with rice, vegetables, or a side salad.
