Ingredients
- 1 cup jasmine rice
- 1 1/4 cups water

Instructions
- Stir the rice and water together in a medium size saucepan.
- Bring the mixture to a boil over medium high heat.
- Reduce the heat down to low, cover and simmer for 10-14 minutes until the water is absorbed by the rice.
- Remove the pan from the heat and leave covered. Let the rice sit for 10-15 minutes.
- Uncover the rice, fluff the rice with a fork and then it’s ready to serve and enjoy!
Notes
- Some people recommend rinsing the rice prior to cooking it on the stovetop. I have tried both ways and cannot tell the difference, so I do not rinse to save time in the kitchen. If you do choose to rinse your rice prior to cooking it, then reduce the water by 2 Tablespoons as the rice will absorb some of the water when you’re rinsing it.
