Lamb Keema with Peas

Lamb Keema with Peas is a spiced, minced lamb dish cooked with onion, garlic, ginger, and a blend of warm Indian spices. Simmered with tomato sauce and fresh herbs, then finished with peas, this recipe creates a hearty, flavorful mixture ideal for serving with rice or flatbreads. Slow simmering tenderizes the meat and blends the spices well.

Description

This Lamb Keema with Peas uses lean ground lamb browned with onions, garlic, and ginger, then seasoned generously with coriander, cumin, cayenne, turmeric, garam masala, cinnamon, and chili pepper. The mixture simmers gently with tomato sauce, bay leaf, and chopped cilantro, allowing the spices to infuse the meat deeply. Frozen peas are added near the end to provide a pop of sweetness and color. The result is a richly spiced, tender keema with a saucy texture that pairs well with plain rice or Indian breads.
