Lemon Garlic Butter Shrimp Recipe

This recipe features large shrimp cooked in a garlicky butter sauce with fresh lemon juice and cilantro. The shrimp are quickly sautéed until pink and tender, which keeps them juicy without becoming rubbery. Optional chili flakes add a mild heat and the bright lemon juice brightens the rich butter and garlic flavors. Served with lemon wedges, it makes for a simple yet flavorful seafood dish that can be served as an appetizer or a main course alongside sides like rice or salad.

Description

The Lemon Garlic Butter Shrimp Recipe highlights large, peeled and deveined shrimp cooked gently in a butter base infused with finely minced garlic. The shrimp are cooked just until they turn pink, ensuring they remain tender and juicy. A pinch of optional crushed chili peppers adds subtle heat, while seasoning with sea salt and black pepper balances the flavors. Fresh lemon juice and minced cilantro or parsley are stirred in at the end, lending a crisp, citrusy finish to the buttery sauce. The cooking method emphasizes brief sautéing over medium heat to avoid overcooking.

The final dish features shrimp coated in a smooth, buttery sauce punctuated by garlic and lemon's refreshing notes. The shrimp's tender texture contrasts with the slight kick from the chili flakes if used. Serving the shrimp with lemon wedges adds an extra burst of citrus as desired. This preparation works well as a quick seafood entrée on its own or paired with grains and leafy greens for a complete meal.
