Low Calorie Fruit Jelly Pots

Report
These Low Calorie Fruit Jelly Pots use gelatin set in orange juice with chopped canned peaches, creating a light and refreshing dessert. The result is a fruity, mildly sweet jelly with tender peach pieces suspended in a clear, orange-flavored gel. These make neat individual servings suitable for a low-calorie treat or light snack.

Description

The recipe begins by dissolving gelatin granules in boiled water, then combining the gelatin mixture with orange juice. Chopped canned peaches are portioned into serving pots before pouring the juice-gelatin mix over them. Refrigerating the pots for several hours allows the gelatin to set firmly, encasing the peach pieces in a soft jelly.

The final texture is smooth and tender, with the peach pieces adding bite-sized fruit bursts. The orange juice provides citrusy sweetness that balances the gentle flavor of the peach and the neutral gelatin. The jelly pots are clear and colorful, making them visually appealing as well as light on calories.

These jelly pots are a practical dessert option when portion control or a lighter dessert is desired. Preparing them in individual pots helps with serving and storage.

Smaller fruit pieces are recommended for easy eating. Using ice cube molds instead of pots can create bite-size treats. To unmold, dipping the container in warm water loosens the jelly for easy release if desired.
