No-Churn Chocolate Chip Ricotta Ice Cream

No-Churn Chocolate Chip Ricotta Ice Cream combines ricotta cheese with sweetened condensed milk and whipped cream to create a smooth, creamy base without the need for an ice cream maker. The addition of chocolate chips dispersed throughout adds a pleasant crunchy contrast. This frozen dessert offers a creamy mouthfeel balanced by the subtle tang of ricotta, making it a refreshing treat that can be prepared with minimal equipment and effort.

Description

The recipe for No-Churn Chocolate Chip Ricotta Ice Cream relies on folding stiffly whipped heavy cream into a mixture of ricotta cheese and sweetened condensed milk, creating a thick and creamy base. Chocolate chips are folded in to provide texture and sweetness, with some scattered on top before freezing to add a decorative touch. Freezing for several hours sets the ice cream without the churning process typically required. The flavor blends the dairy richness of ricotta with the sweetness and slight chew of chocolate chips, giving it an interesting dairy texture and chocolate contrast.

The ice cream can be allowed to soften slightly at room temperature before serving to improve scoopability. The use of ricotta provides a creamy, slightly tangy character compared to traditional ice creams, and the no-churn technique makes this recipe accessible for home cooks without specialized equipment.
