Oven Baked Beer Brats

Ingredients
- 8 bratwurst sausages
- 1 onion *thinly sliced
- 2 garlic cloves *minced
- 12 oz beer
- 2 tablespoon olive oil
- Salt/Pepper *to taste
- 8 split brioche rolls
- toppings of choice (sauerkraut, onion, ketchup, peppers, etc.)

Instructions
- Preheat oven to 400 degrees F.
- In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add in the sliced onions and minced garlic, and saute for about 5 minutes, or until golden brown and softened.
- Push onions and garlic to the side of skillet and add in the sausages. Brown on all sides, about 5 minutes.
- Pour in your beer, enough to cover sausages about halfway. Allow to come to a simmer, about 5 minutes.
- Transfer brats and onions to a baking dish and pour in the beer mixture. Season with salt and pepper.
- Bake in oven for about 20 minutes, or until brats are 160 degrees internally and browned.
- Serve the sausages on a roll with toppings, or on their own! Enjoy!
