Pan Fried Boneless Pork Chops Recipe

Pan Fried Boneless Pork Chops are seasoned with Italian herbs, salt, and freshly ground black pepper, then seared in oil to develop a golden crust. Finished with a dab of garlic honey herb butter, they combine a savory crust with a sweet and aromatic topping. Resting after cooking ensures juiciness and tenderness.

Description

This recipe starts with thick-cut boneless pork chops lightly seasoned with Italian seasoning, sea salt, and fresh black pepper. The pork chops are dried to ensure a good sear and cooked in a medium-hot cast iron skillet with neutral cooking oil applied to both sides. They are seared on the first side until a golden crust forms, then flipped and cooked on the other side until just under the recommended internal temperature.

After removing the pork chops from the pan, they rest for 10 minutes to allow the internal temperature to rise to a safe 145°F and the juices to redistribute, preserving moistness. Meanwhile, a compound butter is prepared by mixing softened butter with honey, grated garlic, and minced parsley. This butter is spooned onto each chop before serving to add richness and subtle sweetness paired with fragrant garlic and herbs.

The combination of a crispy golden exterior, tender and juicy interior, and aromatic finishing butter delivers a satisfying pork chop experience. The recipe notes caution about exact doneness and advise checking temperature carefully, especially with thinner chops which may require a different approach.
