Passion Fruit Mousse

Passion Fruit Mousse is a creamy dessert blending sweetened condensed milk, drained table cream, and passion fruit concentrate into a smooth, tangy mousse. The mixture is blended thoroughly then chilled overnight to set. Optional fresh passion fruit pulp with seeds adds a decorative and textural topping, enhancing the tropical flavor.

Description

This passion fruit mousse is made by combining canned sweetened condensed milk, clarified or "drained" table cream, and seedless passion fruit concentrate in a blender. Blending for several minutes creates a smooth, aerated mousse with balanced sweetness and tartness from the passion fruit. Chilling the mousse overnight allows it to firm up for a pleasant creamy consistency.

The mousse can be garnished with fresh passion fruit pulp including seeds for added visual appeal and a burst of fresh fruit flavor and texture contrasting the creamy base.

The key to the recipe's texture is properly draining the table cream by chilling the can to firm the cream and separating off the liquid. This yields a richer, denser mousse than using undrained canned cream.
