PECAN PRALINES

Ingredients

  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 cup light brown sugar (packed)
  • ½ cup milk whole
  • 4 tablespoon butter unsalted
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 ½ cups pecan halves

Instructions

  1. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a saucepan, combine granulated sugar, brown sugar, milk, and butter over medium heat. Stir constantly.
  3. Bring the mixture to a boil, reaching 238°F (soft-ball stage) on a candy thermometer.
  4. Remove from heat and stir in vanilla extract and pecans. Keep stirring until the mixture thickens.
  5. Drop spoonfuls of the praline mixture onto the prepared baking sheet.
  6. Allow to cool and set before serving or storing.
