Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup of butter softened
  • 1/2 cup Reese's Spreads or peanut butter of choice
  • 1 cup of brown sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 1 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 baking soda
  • 1 cup of chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Pre-heat your oven to 375 °F.
  2. Cream together the butter and Reese's Spread until smooth and creamy. Add in the brown sugar, beat again until creamy.
  3. Add in the egg, followed by the vanilla and mix until thoroughly combined.
  4. Whisk together the dry ingredients then slowly add to the mixture, mixing until combined.
  5. Stir in the chocolate chips.
  6. Press the dough evenly into a seasoned cast iron skillet.
  7. Bake for 20-25 minutes until the cookie's edges are browned yet the middle is slightly underdone.
  8. Remove and cool slightly.
  9. Eat while still warm, topped with vanilla ice cream and chocolate sauce if desired.
