Ingredients
- 1 pound (450g) broccoli frozen
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- salt
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350 degrees F / 180 degrees C / gas mark 4.
- Place frozen broccoli onto a rimmed baking sheet.
- Drizzle with olive oil and Italian seasoning. Toss to coat the frozen broccoli.
- Place pan in the oven and roast for 20 mins turning halfway through cooking.
- Serve.
Notes
- Preheat both the oven and the sheet pan and place the broccoli on a hot baking sheet.
- Line your baking sheet with parchment. This will prevent the broccoli from sticking, making it easier to turn during cooking. It also makes cleanup easy.
- Add a squeeze of lemon juice for a bright flavor.
- Add a pinch of sugar to help with the caramelization process.
- Don’t overcrowd the pan. The broccoli needs space, so the water from the freezing process has a chance to cook off. Spread the frozen florets to ensure the broccoli is in a single layer.
- Broccoli not caramelizing? Set the sheet pan under the broiler for a minute or two before serving to crisp up the edged.
