Instructions

Step No.1: Preheat Oven

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or lightly grease it.

Step No.2: Mix Ingredients

  1. In a large mixing bowl, combine the sausage, softened cream cheese, drained Rotel, shredded cheddar cheese, Bisquick, garlic powder, and onion powder. Mix well until fully incorporated.

Step No.3: Roll into Balls

  1. Scoop about 1 tablespoon of the mixture and roll it into a ball. Repeat until all the mixture is used. Place sausage balls on the prepared baking sheet about an inch apart.

Step No.4: Bake Until Golden

  1. Bake for 22-25 minutes or until the sausage balls are golden brown and cooked through. The internal temperature should reach 160°F (71°C).

Step No.5: Serve Warm

  1. Let them cool slightly before serving. Serve with ranch dressing, honey mustard, or your favorite dipping sauce.

Notes

  • Use Spicy Sausage: For extra heat, use spicy breakfast sausage.
  • Drain Rotel Well: Too much liquid will make the mixture too soft.
  • Don’t Overmix: Overmixing can make the sausage balls dense instead of tender.
  • Cheese Variations: Try using pepper jack, mozzarella, or Colby jack for different flavors.
  • Make-Ahead Tip: Prepare and refrigerate the uncooked sausage balls for up to 24 hours before baking.
