Salmon and Rice Bowls Recipe

You're going to feel really good about eating this delicious salmon and rice! Salmon is coated in spices and cooked to perfection with a honey-soy mixture. Top it on a bed of steaming rice and add your favorite toppings for an easy, nourishing, and flavor-packed dish that takes just 20 minutes to throw together!

The Salmon

  • 1 lb salmon skin removed and cut into cubes
  • ½ teaspoon paprika
  • ½ teaspoon chili powder
  • ½ teaspoon garlic powder
  • ½ teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 3 tablespoons honey gluten-free if needed
  • 3 tablespoons soy sauce gluten-free if needed

For Serving

  • 3 cups short-grain rice cooked
  • cucumber thinly sliced
  • radish thinly sliced
  • avocado diced
  • furikake or seaweed snacks
  • sesame seeds
  • mayonnaise Sriracha or wasabi flavor

Instructions

  1. Use a sharp knife to remove the salmon skin and then cut it into bite-sized cubes.
  2. Place the salmon in a large bowl and toss with the paprika, chili powder, garlic powder, and onion powder.
  3. Heat the oil in a large pan over medium-high heat and then add the salmon. Cook until it is seared and cooked through, about 4-5 minutes. Drizzle the honey and soy sauce over the salmon, toss gently to coat, and then remove the pan from the heat.
  4. Divide the rice and salmon between 4 bowls. Top with slices of cucumber and radish, diced avocado, some furikake or seaweed snacks, sesame seeds, and some sriracha or wasabi mayo.
