Ingredients

  • 4 cups frozen edamame in their shells
  • salt for the water
  • 1 tablespoon green tea or one bagged tea
  • 1 tablespoon toasted sesame oil
  • 1 tablespoon toasted sesame seeds
  • 1 teaspoon flaky salt
  • 1 teaspoon shichimi togarashi

Instructions

  1. Bring a large pot of salted water and a bag of green tea to a boil.
  2. Add the frozen edamame to the pot and cook for 4 to 5 minutes (or according to the instructions on your packaging).
  3. Strain the edamame and discard the green tea bag.
  4. While the edamame is still hot, transfer them to a large plate and toss them with toasted sesame oil, toasted sesame seeds, flaky salt, and shichimi togarashi. Taste and adjust the seasoning as needed before serving.
