Sesame Encrusted Baked Chicken Tenders

These chicken tenders are coated in a mixture of toasted sesame seeds, panko crumbs, and a soy-sesame oil marinade, then baked until crisp and golden. The sesame coating provides a nutty crunch and the soy sauce adds a savory depth. Baking keeps the chicken juicy inside with a crunchy exterior.

Description

Sesame Encrusted Baked Chicken Tenders start with chicken tenderloins seasoned with salt and pepper, then marinated briefly in sesame oil and low-sodium soy sauce. They are coated thoroughly in a blend of toasted sesame seeds, panko breadcrumbs, and a pinch of kosher salt. The tenders are baked on an oiled sheet, sprayed lightly with olive oil spray to promote browning and crispness. Cooking at 425°F until golden develops a crunch from the sesame and panko coating while preserving a tender interior.

The result is chicken tenders with a crisp, nutty crust and juicy meat inside, combining mild Asian-inspired flavors without overpowering the chicken. The combination of sesame seeds and panko creates a textural contrast that is appealing to the palate.

These tenders are practical for serving over rice or alongside steamed vegetables, suitable as a flavorful main course or a snack. Soy sauce can be added to taste at serving for extra savoriness.
