Spicy Chex Mix Recipe

This Chex Mix recipe is easy to make and brings together all the crunchy, salty and delicious buttery flavors with a hint of smoky spicy goodness! It's the perfect snack for sharing!

Ingredients

  • 3 cups corn chex cereal
  • 3 cups rice chex cereal
  • 3 cups wheat chex cereal
  • 1 cup mixed nuts
  • 2 cups mini pretzels
  • 2 cups plain bagel chips
  • 1 1/2 ticks unsalted butter, (3/4 cup)
  • 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce 
  • 3/4 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon chili powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon cayenne powder

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 250ºF. In large bowl, add the corn, rice, and wheat chex cereals, mixed nuts, mini pretzels and bagel chips. Set aside.
  2. Place the butter in a small microwave-safe bowl and microwave on high for 30 seconds to 1 minute, until the butter completely melts. Add the Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, salt, onion powder, chili powder, paprika and cayenne. Whisk together until combined. Pour the butter over the cereal mixture,
  3. Pour the butter sauce over the cereal mixture and toss together until everything is evenly coated.
  4. Spread the chex mix onto a large rimmed baking sheet and bake for 1 hour, stirring every 15 minutes to make sure everything crisps up evenly. Let cool slightly before eating.

Notes

  • To store, place in an airtight container and store in a cool, dry place for up to 3 weeks. As long as you keep the container completely sealed, everything will remain crunchy and delicious!
