Ingredients
Date Pudding
- 180 gms dates pitted and roughly chopped, 6 1/3 oz
- 310 ml water 1 ¼ cups
- ½ tsp bicarbonate of soda
- 165 gms brown sugar ¾ cup, firmly packed
- 60 gms butter softened and chopped, 1/4 cup
- 2 egg
- 150 gms self-raising flour sifted, 1 cup
Butterscotch Sauce
- 50 gms butter 3 ½ tbsp
- 220 gms brown sugar 1 cup
- 250 ml cream 1 cup
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
