Ingredients

Date Pudding

  • 180 gms dates pitted and roughly chopped, 6 1/3 oz
  • 310 ml water 1 ¼ cups
  • ½ tsp bicarbonate of soda
  • 165 gms brown sugar ¾ cup, firmly packed
  • 60 gms butter softened and chopped, 1/4 cup
  • 2 egg
  • 150 gms self-raising flour sifted, 1 cup

Butterscotch Sauce

  • 50 gms butter 3 ½ tbsp
  • 220 gms brown sugar 1 cup
  • 250 ml cream 1 cup
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
