Strawberry Santa Hat Brownies
Description
This recipe creates a raw-style brownie mixture from finely ground almonds combined with unsweetened cocoa powder and chopped dates, sweetened further with honey and moistened with water to achieve a pliable texture. The mixture is formed into flattened balls, providing a dense and fudgy consistency.
Each brownie base is topped with a teaspoon of Greek yogurt, followed by a strawberry with the top sliced off, replicating a Santa hat shape. An additional dollop of yogurt forms the hat's bobble, adding a creamy element and visual detail. The use of natural ingredients and minimal processing emphasizes the fresh and wholesome character of these treats.
These brownies can be stored refrigerated for two days and allow for variations in nuts or flavor extracts such as peppermint or orange to adjust the profile. Substitutions for vegan diets include maple syrup and vegan yogurt. Optional toppings like whipped cream or marshmallows can enhance richness or holiday flair.
