Ingredients
- 1 cup water
- 1 cup sugar
- ¼ teaspoon almond extract
- ½ teaspoon butter extract
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Instructions
- Add water, sugar, and extracts to your sauce pot
- Stir to combine
- Place on stove on medium heat and simmer for 20 minutes, stir occasionally
- Remove from stove and let cool
- Store in an air tight container in the fridge for up to two weeks
Notes
- The longer you simmer the syrup the thicker it will become. For a thinner syrup only simmer for 12-15 minutes
- Almond extract is very strong, so be careful when adding it
- Play around with different extracts to make different kinds of "cookie" syrups!
