Ingredients
- 1 lb mild ground breakfast sausage
- 3 cups shredded cheddar cheese divided
- 2 cups milk
- 6 large eggs
- 1 tsp salt adjust to taste
- 32 oz frozen tator tots
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F. Heat a skillet on medium high and brown the sausage, breaking it up and cooking until no longer pink. Once fully cooked, drain any juices and spread the sausage on the bottom of a 9x13 pan.
- Sprinkle two cups of shredded cheese over the sausage.
- In a medium bowl, whisk together the milk, eggs, and salt. Pour the mixture evenly over the sausage and cheese.
- Arrange the frozen tater tots to cover the whole dish (you may not need the full 32 oz). Place the dish uncovered in the oven and bake for 40 minutes.
- Top the tator tots with the remaining one cup of cheese, and bake for another five to ten minutes until the sides are bubbling and the tator tots are golden brown.
- Remove from the oven, and let it rest for about ten minutes before serving. Enjoy!
