Tomahawk Pork Chop Recipe

Tomahawk pork chops seasoned with a blend of paprika, garlic, onion powders, salt, and pepper are roasted and basted with a honey garlic sauce made from butter, honey, soy sauce, garlic, and apple cider vinegar. The cooking includes initial roasting followed by broiling to develop a caramelized surface while maintaining juicy, tender meat inside. The savory-sweet sauce adds a rich finish to the substantial bone-in pork chops.

Description

The recipe first seasons tomahawk pork chops generously with paprika, onion powder, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. The honey garlic sauce is prepared separately by melting butter, cooking minced garlic, then boiling honey with soy sauce and apple cider vinegar until slightly thickened. The chops are cooked on a grill pan in a 400°F oven, flipped halfway, and basted with the sauce. Finally, broiling caramelizes the exterior, giving a flavorful crust while ensuring doneness.

This preparation highlights the pork chop's size and flavor with a balance of sweet and tangy from the sauce complementing the smoky spice rub. The chops serve as an impressive main course with the sauce spooned generously over. The honey garlic glaze adds moisture and a sticky texture to the meat's surface.
