Trader Joe’s Beef and Broccoli Stir Fry
Description
Trader Joe’s Beef and Broccoli Stir Fry features sesame teriyaki marinated beef skirt steak sautéed with a pre-packed blend of Asian vegetables. The beef is sliced thin and cooked until halfway done before adding the vegetables, allowing flavors to meld while keeping vegetables crisp. The stir fry is served atop cooked white rice, providing a simple layering of textures. Garnishes such as sesame seeds, chopped green onion, soy sauce, sriracha, or spicy mayonnaise can be added to customize flavor and spice levels. Cooking in one skillet makes the preparation straightforward, with no complicated steps or sauces to prepare from scratch.
This meal offers a convenient way to enjoy a balanced beef and vegetable dish with minimal prep, ideal for a quick dinner that still feels satisfying. Preparing rice ahead or using pre-cooked rice simplifies the process further, and storing leftovers in airtight containers keeps the meal fresh for several days.
Leftovers should be cooled before refrigeration and can be reheated for a quick second meal. Using Trader Joe’s marinated beef saves time on seasoning, and the vegetable mixture provides variety without extra chopping.
Ingredients
- cooking spray
- 1 package beef skirt steak Trader Joe's, sesame teriyaki marinated
- 1 package Asian stir fry vegetables Trader Joe's (18 oz)
- 1 package white rice ~2 cups cooked
Optional Garnishes
- sesame seeds
- green onion chopped
- soy sauce
- sriracha
- mayonnaise spicy
Instructions
- Heat a skillet over medium heat and spray with cooking spray.
- Finely slice Beef Skirt Steak into small strips and place in the warmed skillet.
- Once meat is cooked about half way (about 4-5 minutes or so), add in chopped Trader Joe’s stir fry vegetables. Sauté for an additional 5-8 minutes.
- While the beef and veggies are cooking, prepare the white rice.
- Plate the rice first. Then add cooked beef and vegetables on top. Add optional garnishes as you wish. I added sesame seeds and green onion on top. Enjoy!
Notes
- Pre-cooked white rice can be microwaved to save time and effort.
- Allow the beef and broccoli stir fry to cool completely before storing in airtight containers in the refrigerator for up to 5 days.
- Using takeout containers from Chinese meals works well for storing and reheating this stir fry to replicate a restaurant experience at home.
