These Air Fryer Chicken Meatballs are incredibly juicy and tasty and deliciously golden on the outside. They are ready from scratch in less than 25 minutes, with only 15 minutes cooking time and minimal prep. A fantastic family-friendly recipe that you really must try!

Ingredients
- 500 g chicken mince ( 1.1 lb ground chicken)
- 3 tablespoon breadcrumbs
- 1 egg
- ½ small onion
- ½ teaspoon salt
- ⅛ teaspoon ground black pepper
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- 1 tablespoon chopped fresh dill
- a drizzle of oil
Instructions
- Peel and chop the onion finely.
- Add it to a mixing bowl together with the chicken mince, breadcrumbs, salt, egg, pepper, paprika and chopped dill.
- Mix everything well to get a paste.
- Use your hands to shape balls out of the mixture, I got 20 meatballs.
- Arrange the meatballs in the air fryer ( mine is Tefal duo air fryer and I used both drawers).
- Air fry them at 200 degrees Celsius ( 390 Fahrenheit) for 15 minutes, shaking the drawers half the way through.
Notes
- Shaping the mixture into meatballs is much easier if you wet your hands often, I usually just keep a bowl of cold water next to me and dip the hands when the mixture start feeling sticky, it makes such a difference and the meatballs have a good round shape.
- The onion can also be blended to a mushy texture for the meatballs, if you don't want to chop it - I haven't even bothered to do it too finely anyway, although when it does cook well and you can't feel it in the meatballs.
- I have Tefal Duo Air Fryer, so I can used both drawers to cook the meatballs, if you have a smaller air fryer, I would recommend cooking the meatballs in batches to avoid overcrowding.
