Ingredients
- 1 lb (450g) ground beef
- salt
- ground black pepper
- 4 lices cheese
- 4 burger buns
Instructions
- Preheat the air fryer to 350 degrees F / 180 degrees C.
- Mix together the beef, salt and black pepper in a bowl.
- Form the beef mixture in to four burger patties.
- Spray the air fryer basket, then add in the burgers.
- Cook for 8-12 minutes, depending on your desired doneness. Flip the patties over halfway through cooking time.
- When done, switch off the air fryer, top each patty with cheese, close the air fryer and let the cheese melt on the burgers for 1-2 minutes.
- Build your burgers, serve, and enjoy!
Equipments used:
Notes
- Do not overcrowd the air fryer. Make sure there is space between each burger so they cook evenly.
- To avoid the cheese flying off the burger, switch off the air fryer before topping the patties with the cheese.
- Shape the ground beef into similarly sized burger patties so that they cook at the same rate.
- You can shape these into 2 patties instead of 4, but you would need to cook them for a bit more time.
- Air fryer temperatures will vary depending on the make and model, so use the cooking time listed as a guide only and adjust as needed.
- If following a gluten-free diet, serve your burgers on gluten free buns.
- Toast the buns for an even better flavor.
- To make this a low carb meal, skip the bun and serve with a salad or in lettuce wraps.
- Double up the cheese if you prefer a cheesier burger.
- Storage - refrigerate leftover hamburger patties wrapped in foil or in an airtight container storage container for up to 5 days.
