  • 1 white onion
  • 1 red onion
  • 1 tablespoon balsamic vinegar

Instructions

  1. Preheat the Air Fryer to 350 degrees F / 180 degrees C.
  2. Remove the skins and slice onions into evenly thick slices.
  3. Place the sliced onions in an air fryer basket and brush with balsamic vinegar.
  4. Air fry for 10-12 minutes or until golden brown to your taste. Carefully flip the onions halfway through cooking.

Notes

  • Slice or cut the onions into even-sized pieces so they cook evenly. 
  • For thin slices or smaller pieces of onions, you may need to shorten the cooking time.
  • For thicker, larger pieces of onions, you may need to add some cooking time. 
  • Spray the air fryer basket with a bit of cooking spray, avocado oil, or olive oil to prevent the onions from sticking. 
  • Air fried onions will shrink a bit as they cook. 
  • Toss the sliced onions halfway through cooking or more often for smaller onions.
  •  Air fryer temperatures can vary depending on the make and model. Use cooking time listed as a guide, check for doneness, and adjust as needed.
