Whip up a batch of homemade air fryer pita chips for a delicious and healthy snack. Perfectly crispy and great with dips.

Ingredients
- 4 pita bread any type, thick thin, or pita pockets
- olive oil extra virgin
- Spices kosher salt, sea salt, garlic powder, or za'atar spice, everything bagel seasoning

Instructions
- Lightly coat each side of the pita bread with extra virgin olive oil using a pastry brush or a light coat of cooking oil spray.
- Cut the pita in half, fourths, and then eighth into triangles.
- Place the sliced pita in a mixing bowl and season with spices. Gently fold so both side are coated with the spices.
- Place the pita on the bottom of the air fryer basket in a single layer. Some overlap is ok. Turn the heat to 380° F and air fry for 5-10 minutes or until crispy and light brown.
- Remove the chips from the basket to cool. Repeat until all the pita is air fried.
Oven Baked Pita Chips
- Follow steps 1-3 above. Place seasoned cut pita in a single layer on a baking sheet. Bake at 425°F for 4-9 minutes, depending on the thickness of the pita.
Notes
- The time it takes to air fry is determined by the thickness of the pita bread. Thin slices will take 5 minutes and thicker pita bread will take 5-10 minutes. Make sure that place your pita chips in a single layer in the air fryer basket so that the hot air can move freely to heat the tortilla chips. A slight overlap is ok. Depending on the model of your air fryer, you may need to flip the pita to ensure both sides get crispy.
