Apple Cake with Macadamias, stir together goodness
Description
The recipe calls for melted butter combined with diced apples, brown sugar, flour, baking soda, baking powder, and a blend of spices including cinnamon and ground ginger, infusing the cake with gentle aromatic notes. Whole egg and milk bind the ingredients into a pourable batter, which is then poured into a greased 20 cm cake tin.
Before baking, the cake is garnished with thinly sliced apples brushed with melted butter and sprinkled with extra nuts and raw sugar, contributing crunch and subtle sweetness on top. Baking lasts 35 to 40 minutes at 180°C until a skewer comes out clean, indicating doneness.
The cake pairs well with tea or coffee and can be served as a snack or dessert. Its nutty element from macadamias adds richness and a satisfying bite to the moist apple base.
Optionally, a glaze of melted caramel sauce can be applied after baking to enhance sweetness and give a glossy finish.
