Ingredients
- 1 brick (8 oz) cream cheese, softened
- ½ cup powdered or icing sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- ¼ teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 2 tubes crescent rolls
- 1 can (21 oz) apple pie filling
For the glaze
- 1 cup powdered sugar
- 1 tablespoon whole milk
Instructions
- Get out and measure all of your ingredients.
- Preheat the oven to 375°F.
- In a medium-sized bowl, add cream cheese.
- Whip the cream cheese until smooth with an electric hand mixer.
- Add the powdered sugar, vanilla, and cinnamon to the bowl.
- Mix until combined, set aside.
- Lay a large piece of parchment paper on a clean work surface. Place a small bowl (4-inches in diameter or similar) or ramekin in the center. Lay the crescent roll triangles in a starburst shape around the bowl with the points sticking out.
- They will overlap each other.
- Smooth out ⅔ of the cream cheese mixture around the center of the starburst in a circle.
- Add the apple pie filling right on top.
- Dollop the remaining cream cheese mixture on top and gently smooth it out.
- Take the triangles and wrap them over the filling and tuck the ends underneath the center of the ring.
- Drag the ring onto a large sheet tray so it can lay flat. I have used a pizza pan or a flat sheet tray for this.
- Bake for 18-25 minutes until golden brown. Let cool completely on the tray.
- While it is cooling, make the glaze by adding the powdered sugar and milk into a small bowl.
- Whisk until smooth.
- Remove crescent ring from pan.
- Drizzle the glaze on top of the crescent ring, I like to use a fork for this.
- Drizzle until decorated.
- Slice into wedges.
- Serve and enjoy every bite!
Notes
- This can be served warm, room temperature, or cold. If you want to skip the glaze, you can serve it with whipped cream or ice cream on top!

- Use your favorite apple pie filling recipe in place of the store-bought canned filling.
- The cinnamon in the cream cheese mixture really compliments the apples.
- This would also be wonderful with added pecans which would also be a nice textural element to the soft ingredients.
