Better Than Anything Cake

This Better Than Anything Cake is the ultimate dessert for chocolate lovers. The rich devil’s food chocolate cake mix soaks up the condensed milk and chocolate syrup, making it extra moist and decadent. Then covered with a chocolate pudding mixture and topped with crushed Oreos.

Instructions

  1. Mix and prepare the cake per the directions on the back of the box.
  2. While the cake is baking, whisk together the sweetened condensed milk and chocolate syrup until smooth.
  3. Once the cake is done baking, start poking holes in it with a fork all over while still warm.
  4. Drizzle the condensed milk mixture all over the cake, I like to take a spatula to move the filling around so it soaks into the holes of the cake and doesn’t all run off the sides.
  5. Allow the cake to cool to room temperature.
  6. Once the cake is cool, make the topping by whisking the whole milk and pudding mix until smooth.
  7. Whisk in the chocolate syrup.
  8. Whisk in the whipped topping a little at a time until fully mixed in with no streaks, it may be a little lumpy, but that’s okay.
  9. Smooth the whipped topping mixture all over the cake; there is a lot, but use it all. Cover with plastic wrap and place in the fridge for at least 6 hours to chill and set, even better overnight.
  10. When ready to serve, top with the crushed Oreos. Serve slices with more chocolate sauce on top if desired.

Notes

  • Due to the whipped topping this needs to be stored in the refrigerator, I think it is also best eaten cold.
