Buñelos Uhang (Chamorro Shrimp Patties)

Buñelos uhang are delicious fried shrimp patties prepared with green beans, corn and peas, that are popular on the island of Guam.

Ingredients
- 2 eggs
- ⅓ lb fresh green beans , sliced thinly
- ⅓ lb peas
- 1 onion , chopped
- ½ lb yellow corn
- 2 lb Shrimp , shelled and chopped
- 2 cloves garlic , chopped
- 4 cups evaporated milk
- 6 cups flour
- 2 tablespoons baking powder
- 1 teaspoon monosodium glutamate (MSG)
- 1 teaspoon black pepper
- vegetable oil (for frying)

Instructions
- Heat a large volume of oil in a large frying pan over medium heat to a temperature of 350 F / 170 C.
- Meanwhile, in the bowl of a stand mixer, mix all the other ingredients using the flat beater.
- Carefully drop spoonfuls of batter in the hot oil and fry on both sides until golden brown.
Notes
- Use an ice cream scooper to easily make the shrimp patties, which will just be a little more rounded.
